Claudius Kamp received his first music lessons at the age of four.
Born in Aalen, he studied recorder at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar with Prof.
Myriam Eichberger from 2008 to 2013. The musician was awarded top marks for his diploma concert.
In 2013 he studied historical bassoon instruments (dulcian, baroque bassoon and classical bassoon) with Christian Beuse at the University of the Arts Bremen, 2016 - 2019 at the University of the Arts Berlin.
Claudius Kamp has been awarded numerous prizes, most recently the audience prize and second prize at the international Biagio Marini Competition.
He won third prize at the international Moeck / SRP Solo Recorder Playing Competition 2013 in London. He has received further awards, including at the Jugend musiziert competition and from the German Foundation for Musical Life.
He was also a scholarship holder of the Werner Richard - Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation and the FRANZ LISZT Foundation Weimar.
Claudius Kamp received important musical impulses in master classes with Maurice Steger, Alfredo Bernardini, Paul Leenhouts, Alberto Grazzi, Lars Ulrik Mortensen, Margaret Faultless, Rainer Johannsen, Daniel Koschitsky and other early music specialists.
The musician has already worked with renowned artists such as Reinhardt Goebel, Nuria Rial, Andreas Scholl, Andres Gabetta, Samy Deluxe and Valer Sabadus.
Claudius Kamp won a place as bassoonist with the European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO) and performed with the orchestra in Europe in the 2016/17 season.
Kamp's performances inspire both classical music connoisseurs and young music-loving audiences around the world, whether in small churches, cozy living rooms or large halls such as the Cologne Philharmonie or the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
International concert appearances have taken them to Israel, Colombia, Belarus, Luxembourg, Romania, etc.
