Elisabeth Kaufhold initially studied recorder with Birgit Beyer, Prof. Peter Thalheimer and Prof.
Jeremias Schwarzer at the University of Music in Nuremberg from 1998 to 2002.
There she also began studying the baroque bassoon with Ursula Bruckdorfer, which she continued in a postgraduate course at the Schola Cantorum in Basel with Donna Agrell and in Frankfurt with Christian Beuse, while at the same time beginning a postgraduate course in recorder at the Musikhochschule in Zurich with Matthias Weilenmann.
Elisabeth Kaufhold works as a freelance musician with various early music ensembles such as the Collegium 1704, the Bachakademie Stuttgart, the “Kleines Konzert” and La Festa Musicale and can be heard on numerous radio and CD recordings.
The freelance artist has lived and worked in Berlin since 2007.
